Queen Mother Chase Runners and Odds

Scheduled to be run on Wednesday March 17th 2010 at 3.20pm, the Queen Mother Champion Chase is a Grade 1 National Hunt chase which is open to horses aged five years or older. It is generally run on the old course at Cheltenham over 2 miles and twelve fences.

It was originally known as the National Hunt Two-Mile Champion Chase but was given a name change in 1980 in recognition of the support given to jump racing by the Queen Mother on the year of her 80th birthday.

With a prize fund in 2010 of £320,000 this is a potentially huge money earner for the successful trainer and owner team who get past the winning post first and this year’s favourite with the bookies is Master Minded, the French 7 year old who is trained by Paul Nicholls. He is going for his third in a row and unless there’s a major upset on the day he just might get it!
