Last years winner Imperial Commander came in 5th. Paul Nicholls, trainer of Denman and Kauto Star: “I thought they had it between them at one stage, but Long Run was always going well just behind. They’ve run absolutely amazing races. Kauto travelled great and jumped great and we were always going to be more positive on him. Nicky Henderson is no doubt one of the greatest trainers of the 21 century. His late friend George Sloan so noted in his quest to create the sport of Kings Novice chase that his quest was greatly enhanced when Nicky married Diana. George admire Nicky ability to get the best performance with no excuses, for lack of success.

    Congratulations! Long Run,

For a great Run, for a great Trainer Nicky Henderson.
