Quel Esprit Odds Cut

With the 2011 Cheltenham Festival fast approaching, odds are being cut nearly as fast as some of the entries and Quel Esprit is the latest to be looked on favourably from the bookies following a very decent ride at Leopardstown over the weekend.

The brightest of Willie Mullins’s quartet to school round Leopardstown after racing on Sunday, he was promptly cut by bookmakers for the National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham Festival and now has ante-post odds of around 12/1 for the race on Day 2 of the festival in March.

Chicago Grey leads the ante-post favourites but Quel Esprit is a great horse and could really step it up on the day to give punters something to cheer about – with all of these races, it can really be anybody’s game and last year was peppered by horses that were nowhere near the bookies favourites on the day so 12/1 could be a decent each-way bet!
